The local chapter of the American Red Cross covers 10,000 square miles from San Diego to Imperial Counties. The charity is charged with providing emergency help to an estimated 3.3 million people in this area. Like the national organization San Diego's chapter of the Red Cross has had its share of up's and down's. Joining me to talk about the organizations future is new Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Wieman.
