San Diego's commercial real estate market is still considered one of the best in the nation, but there are signs a correction is on the way in 2008. KPBS reporter Erik Anderson has details.
San Diego is considered one of the top ten commercial real estate markets in the country in a new national survey. The city is down from number one two years ago to number seven.
Price Waterhouse Coopers and the Urban Land Institute have released their annual emerging trends report. Analyst Susan Smith says San Diego gets high marks for location and growth opportunities and warning signs for office turnover and business migration from the downtown area.
Smith : The commercial real estate market encompasses the four food groups -- the four sectors -- the office of which would include downtown and suburban. And it would also include warehouse apartments and also retail property.
Smith says San Diego County be an early indicator of what happens in the rest of the nation in 2008.
