I'm totally digging NPR's
new music page , which launched today. NPR is partnering with some affiliate stations that present original music content in order to keep the site fresh and wide-ranging. In the future, you might even see some KPBS performances offered there.
While wandering around the site, I found goodies everywhere. A KEXP interview and performance with Band of Horses (the performance sections are the strongest). The "Song of the Day" feature is still going strong in this new format. Check out Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings song of the day. It's one of my favorites. There's video of Jesca Hoop performing live at NPR studios and an interview she did with Melissa Block. And, Carrie Brownstein from Sleater-Kinney will be writing a new music blog for the site. Not only is her inaugural post funny, her stated mission has me predicting a new daily read for my list.
Can't wait to spend more time exploring. Good stuff!
