One California ballot measure remained too close to call until after midnight: Prop. 93. That's the one that would have changed term limits in California. As of this morning, 53 percent of voters have rejected the measure, and its backers have conceded defeat. Marianne Russ reports.
93 would have reduced the total time lawmakers can spend in the legislature from 14 years to 12. But they could all be served in one house. And it would have allowed some current lawmakers to run again.
Now, high profile politicians like Senate leader Don Perata and Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez will be termed out.

In a statement, Nunez said he respected the people's decision but remained convinced that reforming term limits is in the state's best interest.
Opponents included Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner. He said the measure was misleading and would have lengthened most lawmakers' terms.
Now the jockeying to replace the legislative leaders will likely begin in earnest at the state Capitol.
