Southern California lawmakers are renewing their push for comprehensive immigration reform. They're reminding President Obama of his promise to address the issue. Tanya Snyder reports.
Five California Congress members are part of a nationwide listening tour to hear immigrants' stories. They hope to reignite the movement for reform. Caucus member Joe Baca of San Bernadino said immigration raids in Southern California are separating families and putting hardworking people in jail.
They're suffering because they're living in fear. The children that are born here right now that are going to school they come back from school, don't know if their moms and dads are going to be there," Baca said.
Baca will be at the listening tour event in Ontario next month with local religious leaders. Hispanic Caucus members say they have written the immigration legislation.
