The troops of the 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division got a new commanding officer today.
Maj. Christopher J. Bronzi took over command of the battalion from Lieutenant Col. Kevin A. Norton during a change of command ceremony at Camp Pendleton this morning.
According to DVIDS, Bronzi is a native of Poughquag, New York. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, and was commissioned in 1996:
His awards include the Silver Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with a gold star, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
