Port Of San Diego Holds Community Discussion Of Port Master Plan Update Draft
The Port of San Diego will hold a community discussion Wednesday to discuss the future of the San Diego Bay and the waterfront, part of the drafting process of the Port Master Plan Update.
The event is one of four the port is holding throughout June to take public feedback on future development and land use of roughly 6,000 acres along the waterfront that the port oversees. The port released a discussion draft of the Port Master Plan Update in April, which is now in a 90-day period of public review through July 31.
"It includes and addresses allowable uses and activities, future development and management of water and land within the port's jurisdiction on San Diego Bay by providing a mix of goals, policies and standards supported by written narratives, figures and tables," the port said of the discussion draft.
Residents can view a copy of the discussion draft at portofsandiego.org/pmpu, which also includes a schedule of future port discussions on the master plan update as well as a section for written comment on the draft. Wednesday's discussion will be held at the La Mesa Community Center at 4975 Memorial Drive at 5:30 p.m.
