On Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 KPBS hosted a special event to celebrate the 2018 One Book, One San Diego selection, "March: Book One" at the San Diego Civic Theatre. Featured speakers included the three creators of the book, Congressman John Lewis (pictured speaking), Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell.

This one-night-only presentation from Burlington, Vermont in 2019 features legendary civil rights icon Congressman John Lewis and co-author Andrew Aydin, in a discussion about their graphic novel “March Book One.” The book is based on Lewis’ life as a civil rights leader.

“March Book One" was selected as the Vermont Humanities Council’s Vermont Reads choice for 2019, and recipient of numerous awards.
