This one-night-only presentation from Burlington, Vermont in 2019 features legendary civil rights icon Congressman John Lewis and co-author Andrew Aydin, in a discussion about their graphic novel “March Book One.” The book is based on Lewis’ life as a civil rights leader.
“March Book One" was selected as the Vermont Humanities Council’s Vermont Reads choice for 2019, and recipient of numerous awards.

On Friday, September 21, 2018 KPBS hosted a special event to celebrate the 2018 One Book, One San Diego selection, March: Book One at the San Diego Civic Theatre. Featured speakers included the three creators of the book, Congressman John Lewis, Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell. Additional speakers included KPBS General Manager Tom Karlo, San Diego Public Library Director Misty Jones, San Diego civil rights icon Harold K. Brown, and Alonso Nunez, Executive Director of the Little Fish Comic Book Studio. Prior to the program, the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Choir performed.
