The Carlsbad Flower Fields are in bloom and open for visitors.
Guests wanting to visit the blooming acres of flowers will need to follow some new rules.
Reservations to visit the Flower Fields will need to be made online. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
Face masks and social distancing will be required. Visitor capacity will be reduced, and hand sanitizing stations can be found throughout the fields.
With an anticipated demand for outdoor activities, management expects that tickets will sell out quickly and recommends booking in advance.
“I think it's going to sell out. This is outdoor recreation at its finest... its open air, sunny, beautiful. Nowhere in Southern California like it,” said Fred Clarke, General Manager of the Carlsbad Flower Fields.
In addition to walking through the flowers is the option to pick blueberries.
“When you pick your own blueberries and you eat them, they taste so much better than the ones you buy at the store,” Clarke said.
The Carlsbad Flower Fields are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. everyday through Mother's Day.
