Qualcomm Inc. donated $450,000 to San Diego State University to support its science and engineering programs, it was announced today.
The money will be distributed to SDSU's Improving Student Achievement in Mathematics program, Project Lead the Way, the College of Engineering and the President's Leadership Fund, according to the university.
Qualcomm, a San Diego-based company that makes chips for wireless devices, has been a longtime donor to SDSU. In 2004, the company gave $14.5 million to create the Qualcomm Institute for Innovation and Educational Success.
