Spreading Violence Worries Somali Families Abroad

Somali families in the United States are watching and listening to this week's news about their country with great interest and concern.

Her brother, who lives in Mogadishu has told her that there is a real sense of fear on the streets. Schools and many businesses are shut; food prices have skyrocketed; and no one goes out after dusk.

Her brother and his family are now debating whether to leave the Mogadishu to live with family in the north.
