Army Staff Sergeant Brandie Lane is Los Angeles-bound this weekend to join fellow nominees Lady Gaga and Paul McCartney at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. According to a Department of Defense news release, Lane was nominated for a Grammy in the category of "Best-Engineered Classical Album" for Quincy Porter's Complete Viola Works. Lane's day job is that of audio engineer for the West Point Band.

Lane completed her Grammy-nominated engineering while working at the record label Sono Luminus. According to Lane:

The Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. While Lane's award will be handed out at an event earlier in the day, she still plans to attend the splashy televised show at the Staples Center. Wouldn't you?
