A helicopter crash at Camp Pendleton has injured at least six people, according to San Diego television station 10News. The station reports the crash took place this morning at about 11:30 near the northern edge of Camp Pendleton, close to San Clemente.
Both the Los Angeles Times and 10News reported earlier that one person had died in the crash. Both news organizations have since withdrawn their reports of a fatality as unconfirmed.
According to 10News:
At least three of those injured in the crash are recovering at Scripps La Jolla. 10News reports paramedics took one seriously injured Marine to Mission Hospital in Orange County.
