The altitude. The elements. The smell. Despite the challenges of running a marathon in Afghanistan, several Marines deployed at Camp Leatherneck say they are prepared.
The run is slated for Sunday, and is meant to coincide with the 36th annual Marine Corps Marathon taking place in Washington, D.C.
