The recruit from MCRD San Diego who made news by running across the tarmac at San Diego International Airport is no longer with the Marine Corps.
The Los Angeles Times reports Benjamin Yi, 22, has been separated from recruit training.
As Home Post reported last week, Yi was arrested on January 17 after sprinting across the runway at Lindbergh Field.
Yi suffered multiple lacerations and the indignity of losing his pants when they were ripped off him by the razor wire atop the airport security fence.
Harbor police arrested Yi that morning. He was then taken to Naval Medical Center San Diego for treatment of his injuries.
