GoDaddy founder and Marine Corps veteran Bob Parsons wants to raise $10 million for the Camp Pendleton-based Semper Fi Fund.
If donors can raise $5 million by Dec. 31, Parsons will match it with $5 million from the Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation.
Parsons explained to the Phoenix Business Journal:
"It doesn't matter whether someone was in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or Marine Corps – we want to help if we can. By providing $5 million in matching funds we hope to increase support for our wounded, injured and critically ill service members."
Parsons' challenge is all part of the 10 for 10 Challenge, as a way to celebrate the Semper Fi Fund's ten year anniversary.
