Clinton Supporter Predicts She'll Concede Soon

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell says he expects that Hillary Clinton will concede defeat in the race to the White House by the week's end. Rendell, one of the New York senator's strongest supporters, says there is no chance she will keep fighting to wrest the Democratic nomination from her rival, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

"You'll see this come to a sort of definitive conclusion in the very near future," Rendell tells Madeline Brand.

The Democratic governor also predicts Clinton will announce her support for Obama "with all of her heart and all of her energies."

Obama secured enough delegate votes in Tuesday's primaries in South Dakota and Montana to clinch the Democratic nomination for president. But Clinton has not yet conceded, Rendell says, because she wanted to digest the primary results and spend one more night with her supporters. However, he says he does not have any inside information from the Clinton campaign and is simply giving his "gut reaction."
