Slater Price Apologises For Not Reporting Free Tickets
San Diego County Supervisor Pam Slater Price has issued a statement concerning her failure to report free tickets she received from Arts organizations.

San Diego County Supervisor Pam Slater Price has issued a statement concerning her failure to report free tickets she received from arts organizations.

Slater Price promised to hand deliver checks to reimburse the Old Globe and the San Diego Opera for more than 30 tickets she has received from them over the past four years.

The Supervisor has supported the Old Globe and the Opera generously, using what are called Community Projects funds. Each supervisor can distribute $2 million in County money annually to non-profits at their own discretion.

Slater Price says in her statement she believed tickets from non-profit organizations were not reportable. She writes that she offers her sincere apology to anyone she has offended, and that she will amend her reports.

Roman Porter, the Executive Director of the State’s Fair Political Practices Commission, says his staff are looking into the situation, and will decide soon whether to embark on a more formal investigation. He says the Commission fined 36 state legislators last month for failing to report gifts. The fine was $200 per gift.
