Fletcher Leads In Latest Poll For San Diego Mayor, But Faulconer Is Close Behind

With the special election for San Diego mayor around the corner, Nathan Fletcher still leads in the polls. But not by much.

According to a 10News/U-T San Diego poll released Sunday, Fletcher leads all other candidates with 32 percent of the vote. But since the last poll nearly two weeks ago, City Councilman Kevin Faulconer has gained six points — and polled at 28 percent.

City Councilman David Alvarez came in third with 20 percent. However, Alvarez is winning the money race. His campaign has already raised more than $1 million.

Mike Aguirre remains a distance fourth in the poll, at eight percent.

The 10News/U-T San Diego poll was conducted from Oct. 7-10 by SurveyUSA and interviewed 875 city of San Diego adults. The margin of sampling error was 4.4 percent on the questions.
