SpaceX is launching a rocket Sunday from the Vandenberg Air Force Base near Santa Barbara. The Falcon 9 is scheduled to lift off at 6:16 a.m.
The rocket will carry Spain's Paz earth observation satellite and two secondary payloads into orbit.
SpaceX also launched 10 communications satellites from the Vandenberg Air Force Base last December.
According to the Spacearchive.info, Falcon 9’s bright orange flame should be visible as far away as San Luis Obispo and Santa Monica. The Falcon 9’s contrail and exhaust plume could be visible from San Francisco to Baja California.
