  • ArtWalk Liberty Station is back for its 18th year, bringing a weekend-long celebration of arts and culture to San Diego’s Liberty Station on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6, 2023. The show celebrates creativity from both sides of the border, with more than 175 artists coming from across several states and Mexico to show and sell their artwork, including paintings, photography, glass and ceramic, jewelry, and sculpture. The Arts District at Liberty Station has blossomed into San Diego’s premier venue for arts, museums, dining, and entertainment. The fabulous outdoor setting features a verdant lawn and an abundance of free parking.

Some street parking is available downtown, but we recommend utilizing the Central Library's Parking Garage, located on 11th Ave. Parking at the garage is free for 2 hours, with validation within the library.   • Located above the Flower Fields, ArtWalk Carlsbad is back for its 4th year, bringing fine art, live music, and interactive art experiences, offered for free to attendees. The weekend-long festival focuses on fine art for sale by artists, who travel from all over the U.S. and Mexico to show and sell their work. In a venue overlooking the ocean, guests can explore different facets of art, while enjoying beautiful coastal views, Saturday, Sept. 9 and Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023.   • PAWmicon invites pets and their people to celebrate the feats of superhero adopters at this annual Pop Culture-themed Dog Cosplay Spectacle. Returning for the 11th year, this free, family friendly event features a wide variety of activities including a cosplay contest, animal art vendors, craft beer, music, games and activities for the kids, trivia, opportunity drawings, food trucks, and more! The cosplay contest features three categories for pets and their owners: Superheroes & Super Villains, Pop Culture Pets, and Dynamic Duos, Trios, and More! Admission into PAWmicon is FREE but must be reserved in advance. PAWSplay Contest entries are $20 per pet. Trivia Contest entry is $40 per team (up to a team of 4).
