With the backdrop of Mission Bay at sunset, we offer an Abundance Yoga Flow from Kla-Bada of Yogini K Bee Yoga, and a sound bath & meditation from Nazli Takesh of Wellness with Nazli, followed by a brief discussion about the connections between yoga philosophy and climate change from San Diego Yoga News' founder, Bridey Scully. This event is donation-based, benefitting the Climate Science Alliance, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to safeguard natural and human communities in the face of a changing climate. The Climate Science Alliance will have a booth at the event and will be able to answer questions about their work and climate change in our region. Stay for tea, snacks, and conversation. You'll leave feeling an abundance of connection, community, and practical tips to make a positive impact in our community! EVENT DETAILS: • The yoga flow is all levels and will begin at 5:40 p.m. , but please feel free to come when you can. All are welcome! • There is free parking on site and access to restrooms. Please bring a yoga mat or towel to practice on, a water bottle, layers to stay comfy and warm, and any other supplies you may want to have (blocks, blanket, socks, etc.). • We will ask you to complete a waiver at the event via a QR code.   • Enjoy a crazy fun day filled with food, sun, and of course championship beach bocce ball action while raising money in support of Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad’s proven after school programs. The popular annual championship attracts a crowd of 400+ teams of seasoned and first-time players. It is projected to raise more than $100,000, bringing the event’s 40-year fundraising total close to $2 million. Even though the competition is intense, the event is highlighted by color costumes and lots of laughter. The day starts out with round robin play, with the top two teams advancing to single elimination play until a World Champion is crowned in each of four divisions. Spectators are welcome (no charge), and there’s plenty of free parking.

'Rubies' In 1967, the great Russian-born choreographer, George Balanchine, created his world famous ballet Jewels for the New York City Ballet. The three act ballets all have a different composer and motif. Rubies, with music by Igor Stravinsky, is the second act of the ballet and truly captures the sexy energy and athleticism of our country. The ballet is packed with adventure, fun and playfulness, and the dazzling bejeweled costumes will take your breath away. 'Divertimento' from 'Le Baiser De La Fée' Divertimento from Le Baiser De La Fée (the Fairy’s Kiss) was created for the New York City Ballet for the 1972 Stravinsky Festival. The New York Times dance critic has described the ballet as one of George Balanchine’s greatest and most unusual works. The choreography is deeply poetic and has always moved audiences by its light and shade, creating an experience you will never forget. 'Ash' With accelerated tempi to the exciting music by Michael Torke, Peter Martins, former artistic director of New York City Ballet, launches 10 dancers on a non-stop series of thrilling solos, duets, and ensemble dances that leaves audiences amazed and thrilled.
