  • SEEK FEST is a one-day San Diego music, art, and craft beer mini-festival presented by the San Diego Music & Art Company, The Blank Slate, and Seek Beer Company. The event brings together a wide-ranging lineup of local and touring musicians spanning jazz, prog rock, psych/funk, metal, hip-hop, and experimental pop, alongside local visual artists, fashion designers, food vendors, massage therapists, live painting, and live chainstitching. Designed as a cross-disciplinary gathering for San Diego’s independent creative community, SEEK FEST highlights musicians, artists, makers, and small local businesses in one shared space. Ticket proceeds support low-income musicians in San Diego via the Musicians Empowerment Collective, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and admission includes beer from Seek Beer Company for guests 21+. The event takes place Saturday, May 30 at San Diego Made Factory on Commercial Street.
  • Students will explore the Art of Careers by learning about real artists and creating their own artwork inspired by their styles and materials. Participants will paint an acrylic sunflower inspired by Vincent van Gogh, create an ocean scene using recycled materials inspired by environmental artist Angela Haseltine Pozzi, and design yarn crafts such as bracelets or pompom animals inspired by fiber artist London Kaye. At the same time, we'll discuss how artists turn creativity into real careers. Everyone will have the opportunity to share and present their artwork in a mini gallery walk at the end of the program.   • Get ready for a classical music concert geared for the whole family! "Coloring with Corelli" is a concert for young people of all ages (0-18) and their families to listen to Baroque music--specifically, Italian composer and musician Arcangelo Corelli--while coloring with crayons, markers, and colored pencils. Participants get to experience classical music in a relaxed setting, enjoying bite-sized musical segments, meeting professional musicians, and experiencing a Baroque instrument petting zoo, all while coloring and drawing.
