  • The La Jolla Historical Society (LJHS) invites families from across San Diego to enjoy a day of creativity and community at the launch of their new family event series, Growing Together. The inaugural event takes place on Sunday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., expanding LJHS’s popular Family Day / Play Day in partnership with the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD). Families will enjoy collaborative, hands-on art making with artist and educator Emily Grenader and MCASD, circus arts and performances with Fern Street Circus, community partner booths, a taco truck and lawn games all at no cost. This event kicks off LJHS’s new Growing Together program, a free family event series featuring six collaborative programs designed to strengthen community connections.
