South Korean cellist Jaemin Han came to international attention in May 2021 when he was awarded the Grand Prix of the George Enescu International Competition as the youngest prize winner in the history of the competition. Later in the same year, he won the third prize at the Geneva International Music Competition. In November 2022 Han received the first prize at the ISANGYUN Competition. Despite his young age, Han has collaborated with several eminent orchestras and conductors and given concerts around the globe. James Lee Stanley is an American singer, songwriter, musician, composer, and producer whose six-decade career spans numerous artistic mediums. He is the true renaissance man, born in Philadelphia, and has been recording and performing since the age of fourteen, with 37 album releases and television and film credits to his name. James Lee is an outspoken proponent of good music, good government, and generally good behavior toward our fellow earthlings. He is coming down from Tehachapi to demonstrate how he makes every show a special event for everybody who attends. “It is simple, really. This National Poetry Month, let's celebrate the legacy and impact of Latine poets in the U.S. and around the world. Newly appointed San Diego Poet Laureate Paola Capó-García will share poems in English and Spanish from her favorite Latine poets of the 20th and 21st centuries in an effort to remind us of their cultural, political, and aesthetic influence. Bring your own favorite poem by a Latine author to share with the group or just come to listen and discuss. A resident of North Park who is originally from Puerto Rico, Ms. Capó-García is the City’s third poet laureate. She is the author of "Clap for Me That’s Not Me", which won Rescue Press' 2017 Black Box Poetry Prize. Her work has been featured in The Volta, The Texas Review, Puerto Rico en mi corazón, Latino Book Review, and other publications.
