  • "Resonance is a free, all-ages event hosted by St. Brigid’s Episcopal Church and Oceanside Theatre Company, that builds community through creative expression. Held in OTC's Studio 219 (219 North Coast Highway), this is a space for all creatively-inclined people — artists, musicians, writers, and more — to showcase their work and to practice spontaneous creation together. It’s not quite an open mic, jam session, drum circle, or art night — but it has elements of all of these. All are welcome to participate as much or as little as they choose. If you’d prefer to just come and enjoy the vibe and performances, you are welcome to do that too." Visit: Resonance Collaborative Open Mic Oceanside Theater Company on Instagram and Facebook
  • Don’t miss the final weekend of "Hiding in Plain Site," the debut solo exhibition from award-winning multidisciplinary emerging artist and designer Joseph A. Henseler. Join us for a live Artist Q&A as Joseph leads a timely, thought-provoking conversation on today’s most pressing creative topics: AI and the future of art, art as resistance and connection, why collecting art matters, and how we can stay human in an image-saturated world. Joseph, who graduated Ball State University with a degree in architecture, apprenticed in the studio of artist James Hubbell and has taught at NewSchool of Architecture, has transformed Union Hall into a space for curiosity, healing, and raw creative energy. With over 30 years of experience blending art, architecture, and activism, his Q&A promises an honest dialogue about what art can do, and why it still matters. The event is free and open to all. Come for the art. Stay for the conversation. Joseph A. Henseler on Facebook / Instagram

  • Nearly two years since their last San Diego show, Stick Men — featuring Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, and Markus Reuter — return to the Bornemann Theatre in San Marcos for a special holiday weekend performance. Formed in 2007, this progressive rock supergroup is known for its bold sound built around touch-style instruments like the Chapman Stick and the custom U8 guitar. Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson) anchors the trio with his legendary mastery of the Stick, while Mastelotto (King Crimson, Mr. Mister) fuses acoustic and electronic percussion, and Reuter adds depth and atmosphere through his innovative compositions. Together, the band’s members have contributed to records selling over 100 million copies worldwide. Opening the night is acclaimed Chapman Stick artist Tom Griesgraber, joined by guitarist Andre Cholmondeley of Project/Object. Griesgraber’s genre-defying performances and collaborations with artists like Steve Hackett, Al Di Meola, and California Guitar Trio promise an unforgettable start to the evening.
