The Canyon Crest Academy Envision Dance Conservatory presents "A Roar and a Whisper: A Tribute to the 1920s," exploring the music, movement, events, and culture that defined America 100 years ago. Directed by Zaquia Mahler Salinas, CCA’s Envision Dance Coordinator, this multimedia performance includes choreography by faculty, guest artists, and students, as well as contributions from the CCA Envision Cinema and Instrumental Music conservatories. The Falling Doves return to Humphreys Backstage Live for a night of rock 'n' roll The Falling Doves, once a San Diego-based rock band, are returning to Humphreys Backstage Live for their 2023 residency. The band has been performing at the venue for years, and it has become their home between tours. The Falling Doves have been performing together since 2015, Their sound is a mix of classic rock, punk, and alternative, and their live shows are always high-energy and full of surprises. "It's so hard to find a good venue that can accommodate our production and audio specs," said lead singer and guitarist, Christopher Leyva. "We love to add a great production value in an intimate setting, great food and drinks easy parking, We get to try out new material and it's a great chance to catch up with friends and fans between sets."
