From November 2–9, 2025, the San Diego Food + Wine Festival (SDFW) transforms “America’s Finest City” into an eight-day epicurean playground, blending flavor, culture, wellness, and advocacy in a way no other festival does. Synopsis: What if the devil offered to grant your deepest desire? In "Witch" by Jen Silverman, ambition, power, and temptation take center stage in a bold and blisteringly funny modern adaptation of a 17th-century Jacobean drama. Set in the rural village of Edmonton, the story follows Elizabeth Sawyer—a woman branded a witch not for casting spells, but for daring to speak her mind. When a charming devil arrives offering deals in exchange for souls, the villagers are tempted to trade morality for personal gain. But Elizabeth has her own plans. Sharp, satirical, and wickedly relevant, Witch skewers the patriarchy, exposes the cost of compromise, and questions what it truly means to claim your power. Coldwell Banker West’s Mission Hills office will host a one-night-only pop-up art exhibition titled "Colors of Bombay," Saturday, August 23rd, from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., featuring original works by award-winning abstract artist and licensed therapist Anuj (AJ) Jenveja. This solo show presents a vibrant collection of modern abstract and figurative paintings inspired by Jenveja’s experience as a first-generation Indian-American. Raised in the Midwest, his work reflects the complexity of navigating between cultures, weaving together themes of identity, heritage, and belonging. Celebrate Native American culture and community with the Barona Band of Mission Indians at the 53rd Annual Barona Powwow over Labor Day Weekend. The three-day celebration begins on Friday, August 29 with gourd dancing at 6 p.m. followed by a grand entry of dancers in full regalia at 8 p.m. The event continues Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Hundreds of Native American dancers from across the country will compete and showcase traditional and contemporary dance styles including the Fancy Shawl Dance and Grass Dance. Alongside the dancing, visitors can enjoy Hand Drum contests, singing, drumming, and food favorites like Indian fry bread tacos. A wide selection of arts, crafts, and handmade jewelry will also be available from local and traveling vendors. The Barona Powwow takes place at the Barona Sports Complex on the Barona Indian Reservation, located just one mile north of Barona Resort & Casino on Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside.
