  • Be part of the Art of Reading Book Club, where art, literature, and art history converge. Join fellow Museum Members as we discuss, "Camille Pissarro: The Audacity of Impressionism by Anka Muhlstein," named a Best Book of 2023 by The New Yorker. "The Audacity of Impressionism" is an engaging biography that explores Camille Pissarro—often called the father of Impressionism—and how his Jewish heritage and independent spirit shaped his life and art, drawing on his work, letters, and close relationships with artists like Monet, Degas, and Cézanne.
