  • The Soul Seekers are a North County San Diego–based band rooted in the soft classic rock of the late 1960s and 1970s, performing an eclectic blend of classic rock, pop, R&B, and contemporary Christian music. Their repertoire includes beloved songs by The Moody Blues, Van Morrison, Linda Ronstadt, Chicago, and more, creating a joyful and uplifting concert experience. With just three years together, The Soul Seekers have left a mark on the local music scene, impressing audiences with their vibrant sound and positive energy. Their goal is simple: to have fun and fill the air with music that lifts the human spirit. Collectively boasting about 230 years of professional musicianship, they continue to captivate listeners and create unforgettable memories wherever they play. Lead vocalists Pastor Bruce De Soto and his wife, Claudia Cobian, form a dynamic “power couple!” Together, they bring more than 40 years of worship experience and performance with their unique commanding voices, which are suitable for the band’s diverse choice of music. Lead-guitarist Mark Wood (“Woody”) contributes decades of professional musicianship and is the founding member of “Custard Pie,” a popular North County Led Zeppelin tribute band. On keyboards, Dana Marver (“The Marvelous One”) co-founded (with Ozzie Mancinelli) in 2010 the popular national tribute band: “The Petty Breakers,” a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute act. He once toured with popular Blues guitarist Chris Cane and has been in countless bands over the last 50 years. The lineup is further strengthened by Paul Beach on bass, whose extensive touring credits include Gary Puckett, Spanky & Our Gang, The Association, and The Mamas and The Papas, along with broad studio and live performance experience. Fred Sannipoli, “The Italian Stallion,” keeps the band steadily on track with his awesome drumming skills and is a well-known local drummer in North County San Diego for over 50 years. This specialized program not only educates participants about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other related laws and includes an in-depth look at Regional Center services, it also offers practical tips for special education advocacy. Past participants have included parents of children with disabilities, professionals working in related fields, school district staff, related services providers (such as speech and language pathologists), attorneys, and others. The seminars are taught by experienced special education attorneys as well as a licensed clinical psychologist. No textbook is required and each seminar includes electronic handouts. Enrollment is flexible—participants may register for as many or as few seminars as they like to match their professional or personal goals. Participants who complete the entire series—with their cameras on for each session—are eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of San Diego School of Law.
