The New City Sinfonia, under the direction of Alyze Dreiling, presents a "Celebration of Spring" with a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 and Boulanger's "D'u matin de printemps." Featured soloist with be Jessica Yui, flutist performing Gluck's "Dance of the Blessed Spirits" and Pinakin Dhamdhere, bassoonist, performing the Rondo from Weber's Bassoon Concerto. The legendary Peter Sprague returns to the Ramona Library for a special summer performance! Peter is a San Diego based jazz guitarist, composer, arranger, recording engineer, producer, and life-long surfer; his performances blend jazz, Latin, and Brazilian influences. He has performed alongside Chick Corea, David Benoit, and Sergio Mendes, just to name a few. This Musical Showcase is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ramona Library.
