  • Robin's Nest Rescue will host its fourth annual Rockin' Robin Music Festival & Fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Set against the scenic backdrop of a five-acre animal sanctuary in Ramona, this family-friendly event celebrates America’s 250th birthday with live music, dancing, food truck and bar, local artisans, rescue animals, and activities for all ages, while raising critical funds for Robin's Nest Rescue. Headlining this year’s festival are more than 30 performers spanning country, Americana, folk, bluegrass and rock, including local San Diego favorites Ashley E. Norton, Chloe Lou, Mark Torpey, Miranda Ramos, Thea the Band, MDG & the Del Sols, Blue Healers, Southern Mayhem, Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego, and returning Chicago artist Eddy Green. Gates open at 10 a.m., with an opening ceremony featuring Chloe Lou performing the National Anthem. Tickets for this family-friendly event range from $10 - $125. Robin's Nest Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and all proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit our animal sanctuary and therapeutic programs. Guests can fuel their inner superhero with a trio of specialty cocktails inspired by iconic characters, including the PETER PARKER, a Spider-Man-inspired shot made with white rum, blue Curaçao, lime and coconut foam, priced at $15. The BRUCE WAYNE, a black-hued cocktail made with vodka, Chambord Liqueur, lemon, simple syrup, activated charcoal and topped with a lemon wedge, priced at $21; and the STEVE ROGERS, a tribute to Captain America crafted with cognac, allspice dram, Cherry Heering, honey and lemon, priced at $21. Whether fueling up before hitting the convention floor or winding down after a day of cosplay and panels, guests can pair the themed cocktails with Lionfish’s menu of fresh-catch seafood, prime meats, locally sourced ingredients and signature coastal fare.
