Acompaña al Servicio de Pesca y Vida Silvestre de los Estados Unidos (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) y a nuestros socios de conservación de Baja California, Pro Esteros y la Alianza para la Conservación de Punta Banda, mientras exploramos la increíble diversidad de plantas y vida silvestre que hace tan especial a nuestra región fronteriza compartida. Durante el recorrido, observaremos y escucharemos aves mientras documentamos plantas, animales silvestres y otros seres vivos como parte de un bioblitz en iNaturalist. La caminata se ofrecerá tanto en inglés como en español. ENGLISH Celebrate California Biodiversity Day with a binational birding and biodiversity walk! Join the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and our conservation partners from Baja California, Pro Esteros and Alianza para la Conservación de Punta Banda, as we explore the incredible diversity of plants and wildlife that make our shared border region so special. Along the way, we’ll look and listen for birds while documenting plants, wildlife, and other living things as part of an iNaturalist bioblitz. Binoculars will be available for participants to borrow, so no special equipment or birding experience is needed. Participants are encouraged to download the free iNaturalist app before the event so you can join in and help document the biodiversity we discover together. Whether you’re an experienced birder, an iNaturalist enthusiast, or simply curious about the nature around you, all experience levels are welcome. The walk will be offered in both English and Spanish. The walk will take place along an easy, accessible trail suitable for participants using wheelchairs or bringing strollers. After the walk, stick around for more activities near the Visitor Center as part of the larger Latino Conservation Day “Journey Through the Wetlands” celebration and Tijuana River Action Month kickoff!
