Fresh off a pair of commanding Saturday night appearances at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Interpol returns for an expansive North American headline tour set to begin this summer. The newly announced run starts in late July with stops in 23 cities across North America for some of the band’s biggest shows to date at iconic venues, including a hometown headline festival appearance at CBGB Festival - Under the K Bridge in Brooklyn, The Bowl at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego, and The Salt Shed Fairgrounds in Chicago. Onstage in Indio, the band delivered sets that moved effortlessly between eras, with “Evil,” “Obstacle 1,” “Slow Hands,” and “The Rover” landing with undiminished force alongside more recent material. They also previewed two new, as-yet-unreleased songs, “See Out Loud” and “Wings on Fire,” a glimpse at what lies ahead. Over the past two years, Interpol have remained in near-constant motion, headlining arenas and festivals across Europe, Latin America and Asia with a show that feels both more expansive and more exacting than ever. Their audience has exploded globally in recent years, streaming is at an all-time high, and last year they played an insane 200,000-person show in Mexico City. Preparing the studio for "Echoes of the Vast" — the first installation and soft launch of Earth / House / Hold. Beginning with my own paintings is a way of establishing the space’s curatorial language and presence before future exhibitions and invited artists. Earth / House / Hold is an artist-run curatorial platform devoted to the slow encounter between work, material, land, time, and the wild conditions that shape perception and place. My work explores how landscapes absorb time, memory, and traces of passage through layered material processes that respond to shifting conditions, rather than depicting something fixed. Growing up between Southern California and Arizona, I remain drawn to vast arid landscapes where erosion, accumulation, atmosphere, light, and surface carry history forward. I studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York, NY with Alice Aycock and Shirley Irons, and later received an MFA from The Claremont Colleges - Claremont Graduate University and an MA in Arts Management from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management in Claremont, California. My work is held in public and private collections across the United States. A new fine art photography exhibition, “Where Land, Light, & Water Meet: San Diego and Beyond,” by photographer Clay Myers‑Bowman opens July 12 at Nainsook Framing + Art in La Mesa, California. The solo exhibit runs July 12 through September 12 at Nainsook Framing + Art, 8130 La Mesa Boulevard, La Mesa, CA 91942, with an opening reception and book signing on Sunday, July 12, from 2 to 5 p.m. Myers‑Bowman previously lived in San Diego, and many of the photographs in this exhibition were created during that time in beloved coastal and inland locations throughout San Diego County. The exhibit is accompanied by a new photography book of the same title, “Where Land, Light, & Water Meet: San Diego and Beyond,” which invites viewers and readers into quiet, luminous moments where shifting light, still water, and familiar shores meet. “I am grateful for the chance to bring this work back to San Diego and La Mesa,” said Myers‑Bowman. “So many of these photographs were made here, and it feels special to share them with the community that helped shape both my life and my eye.” Nainsook Framing + Art on Facebook / Instagram
