These worldly performers are a study in balancing traditions. With roots in Mexican ballet folklorico, Claudia Gomez plays percussion and tap dances. Evona Wascinski, from Poland, brings a classical virtuosity to the upright bass. And Beston Barnett, a Nashville native, plays manouche guitar and sings in five languages. “We keep it loose but alive; we leave space for what each of us does best,” says Wascinski. A Path of Possibilities of Support, Resources, and Education To Be Provided at the Annual Walk The Parkinson’s Association of San Diego (PASD) welcomes the community to the 22nd Annual Step by Step 5K Walk on Saturday, April 6 at Liberty Station, 2640 Cushing Road, San Diego, CA 92016. The Walk will begin at 9 a.m., with check-in starting at 7:30 a.m. Participating in the event supports a vital cause and enables PASD to provide a Path of Possibilities for thousands of San Diego County residents who have or are impacted by Parkinson’s disease with critical support, resources, and education during and after the Walk. This year’s Walk will provide a path of support, connections with more than 1200 individuals in the Parkinson’s community and access to an extensive range of health resources provided by more than 60 exhibitors. Additionally, dogs are welcome to join in the day’s activities. Participants can join and support the Walk in various ways, including · Walking individually or with family · Joining or forming a team · Visiting the exhibitors without having to walk · Contributing to the Association (and could be made in Memory of or in Honor of a loved one). The donations are tax deductible under IRS guidelines and include a Walk Step-by-Step T-Shirt.
