Sesame Place® San Diego is recognizing and celebrating the many contributions and culture of the Hispanic community with the ALL-NEW Sesame Place Hispanic Heritage Celebration. Bilingual Storytime with Big Bird – The best storyteller on Sesame Street welcomes all his friends to his nest during Storytime with Big Bird. Enjoy a bilingual (Spanish and English) tale and take pictures with their favorite yellow friend during this interactive experience everyone can enjoy. Kick off your Sunday evening with the first ever Italian Heritage Concert in Little Italy, featuring world-renown Pop Opera singer, Nick Palance! Held in the Piazza della Famiglia, guests will be treated to a performance from the artist known as “The American Boticelli” by critics. Downtown’s The Whiskey House, which holds the Guinness World Record for Most Varieties of Whiskey, is hosting its October Whiskey Club Event on Wednesday, October 18 with Brother's Bond Bourbon of Fort Smith, Arkansas. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m., and it includes a welcome cocktail (blood orange old fashioned), a 1.5-oz pour of each of the three featured whiskeys (Straight Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, Cask Strength Bourbon), and discussions with a Brother’s Bond representative. Food is also included in the price of admission, and the menu will feature charcuterie, Vietnamese wings, and pork sliders. Tickets are $45 in advance. Walk-ins are also welcome, but the price jumps to $55. In addition to street parking, ABM Parking’s BOSA Island Lot is one block away at 450 2nd Avenue.
