  • A family of furry, snorkel-nosed aliens arrive on Earth looking for a new home, only to find a foggy wilderness filled with sociopathic poachers, a rock band on vacation, and a very special boy looking for a new best friend instead! A ‘kids movie’ (and we’re using that term lightly) from the notorious director of "PIECES: and "SLUGS" that later became legendary due to its inclusion on a 1991 episode of Mystery Science Feature 3000, Juan Piquer Simón’s EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL VISITORS is a bizarre mishmash of violence and pathos that is perhaps the most singularly screwy "E.T."-influenced films ever made. • R.B. Stevenson Gallery presents "West Coast Visions", a group exhibition of new work by Los Angeles artists Charles Arnoldi, Jimi Gleason, and Astrid Preston, on view June 6 through June 30, 2026. The three painters share a distinctly California sensibility, such as Arnoldi's bold, hard-edged geometric abstractions; Gleason's luminous, iridescent surfaces that shift with the changing light; and Preston's atmospheric color fields overlaid with a fine, hand-painted webbing. Together their work spans the spectrum from structure to dissolve, from solid form to pure light. An opening reception with the artists will be held Saturday, June 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. R.B. Stevenson Gallery is located at 7661 Girard Avenue, Suite 101, La Jolla. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit: https://www.rbstevensongallery.com/pages/current_exhibitions.html R.B. Steveson Gallery on Instagram and Facebook
