Join us for the 2026 Tolley Dances™ on the MTS Blue Line Trolley! This iconic event has been bringing San Diego together for 28 years through site-specific dance that highlights our city's diversity, culture, and community. Choreographers include Erica Buechner, Jessica Rabanzo-Flores, Spencer John Powell, SDDT's Artistic Director Terry Wilson and the Founder of Trolley Dances™ Jean Isaacs. Parking: Parking available at UTC Mall in the designated Transit Center parking structure. Ticketing: Ticketing table can be located at the top of the UTC Mall parking Structure next to the Trolley. *Kids age 8 and under may ride and join the tour for free with a paying adult. Special Thanks to our Major Transportation Partner MTS and our collaborators for this event such as UC San Diego and the Westfield UTC Mall. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your tour. Tour times are based on the trolley schedule and will be followed down to the minute by our tour guides. We cannot offer refunds for missed tours, so make sure you give yourself ample time to locate the start location and prepare for your tour! Important Note: Purchased trolley tickets cannot be exchanged nor refunded. Trolley tickets will act as a valid day pass for MTS and are valid as soon as the event begins. To prepare for your tour, make sure you are wearing comfortable walking shoes. Sunscreen, water, and a hat or other protection from the heat is highly recommended! Registration and activities begin at 7 AM and include: games and prizes for kids, face painting, entertainers, holiday arts & crafts, as well as free donuts & water while supplies last. Participants are encouraged to come in costume! Proceeds benefit the Helen Woodward Animal Center and their equestrian therapy program for children and adults with special needs. Begin from the actual starting gate, make a one-mile lap all the way around and finish in the Winners’ Circle where you will get your picture taken and a souvenir run medallion. Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) and San Diego History Center are thrilled to present "Changing Terrain: Regional Artists Interpret Our Landscape," bringing together contemporary artists from Southern California and Baja to explore a region in constant transformation. Inspired by the exhibition presented at OMA and SDHC in 2013, this group exhibition revisits the evolving field of landscape art by Southern California-based artists more than a decade later and includes 11 artists from the original 2013 exhibition. Work by a distinguished set of invited artists is showcased along with exceptional works identified through a regional open call, highlighting the diversity of artistic voices redefining the landscape genre. Changing Terrain offers fresh perspectives on landscape, revealing how environment, culture, history, and community shape our evolving sense of place. Together, these works capture the beauty, complexity, and resilience of a border region where natural and human histories continually intersect. The exhibition opens to the public at the Oceanside Museum of Art and the San Diego History Center in Balboa Park on August 22. "Chrysanthemum" is a solo photography exhibition by visual artist Eugenia Brodsky at WRFAC Gallery (Walter Redondo Fine Art Collection). Shot on film, the series brings together cinematic, atmospheric photographs: portraits of the artist's children and dreamlike scenes, alongside landscapes and still lifes. The title comes from a haiku by Yosa Buson: "Before the white chrysanthemum the scissors hesitate a moment." At its center is the artist's eldest son on the threshold of adolescence, and that delicate moment when innocence begins to shift and time holds its breath. It’s a problem California lawmakers are trying to address with a new law that will phase disposable nicotine vapes out of stores across the state starting in 2028. Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 762, which prohibits the sale of disposable vapes by 2028.

Like its protagonist, the film shoots out its goopy, mud-brown, protoplasmic feelers into the undiscovered territory of horror, but it does so too tentatively.
