Tom Fudge: Late last month, five Western states decided to work together to reduce carbon emissions linked to global warming. The states that signed onto to the pact were California, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington. And Ted Kulongoski, the governor of Oregon, was one of the drivers of that process.
Gov. Kulongoski has a reputation of a man who believes in environmental protection. And he believes in the ability of science to guide the way. He's in San Diego to speak,at the UCSD lecture series on Science and Society.
