CSU Faculty Authorize Their First Labor Strike

Tom Fudge:  Yesterday, faculty members throughout the California State University system announced their intention to strike. The strike vote was an overwhelming 94 percent in favor. If rolling walkouts begin within the coming two weeks, as expected, it will be the first strike in the history of the CSU system. California state, with its 23 campuses, is the largest public university system in the nation. Two of those campuses are in San Diego County, namely State Diego State University and CSU San Marcos.
