Recovery Coordinators and PTSD Recommended to Improve Vets’ Healthcare

Tom Fudge: A week ago, a Presidential commission came out with some recommendations for improving health care for veterans. The group is called the President's Commission on Care for America's Returning Wounded Warriors. The commission's work was spurred by embarrassing news reports about substandard care, Iraq war veterans were receiving at Walter Reed Hospital. The commission's recommendations included creating new ways to determine whether soldiers have disabilities. It also stressed that every seriously injured veteran needs to have a recovery plan. The recommendations are expected to cost of real money.
