California Power officials say there is a transmission emergency for the third straight day. KPBS Reporter Erik Anderson has details.
Wildfires in San Diego county continue to strain the region's ability to move electricity to customers.
Greg Fishman works at the agency that controls California's power grid. He says high voltage power lines in San Diego County are having problems.
Fishman : And we have numerous transmission lines that are out of service and they're tripping out of service and then they come back in as the fire burns clear.
Fishman is urging people to conserve power during the day. He says, however, that people with breathing problems should stay inside and use their air conditioners to filter the air.
