Fruit Flies Bugging Agriculture Officials
Two male Oriental fruit flies found in the North County have the San Diego County farm industry concerned. Agriculture officials are now working to eradicate the destructive pest before it damages one of our county's biggest industries.
State agricultural officials confirmed an insect trapped near the Sweetwater Reservoir was an Asian citrus psyllid On Sept. 4th and now there are reports of Oriental fruit flies in the North County.
