Crews have responded to a small brush fire burning in a canyon in Poway.
According to fire dispatchers, the fire broke out shortly before 1 p.m. in a canyon near Metate Lane and Carriage Road.
Ground crews from the Poway Fire Department and San Diego Fire-Rescue have been summoned to the scene, and dispatchers said aerial support from Cal Fire and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department is on its way.
As of 1:05 p.m., the fire has burned about 100 feet, but is near a business park, dispatchers said.
