A COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL ARRIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIATUESDAY BRINGING MUCH COLDER WEATHER...RAIN...MOUNTAIN SNOW...ANDSTRONG WINDS FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS. THE STORM WILL MOVEOUT LATE WEDNESDAY.
- RAINFALL...PRELIMINARY ESTIMATES RANGE FROM ONE QUARTER TO
THREE QUARTER INCH IN THE COASTAL AREAS AND VALLEYS...THREE
QUARTERS TO LOCALLY ONE AND A QUARTER INCH IN THE
MOUNTAINS...AND A QUARTER INCH OR LESS IN THE DESERTS.
- SNOWFALL...UP TO TWELVE INCHES OR LOCALLY GREATER IN THE
MOUNTAINS. UP TO THREE INCHES IN THE HIGH DESERT AND VALLEY
FOOTHILLS. SNOW LEVEL WILL FALL TO AROUND 2500 FEET TUESDAY
NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
- THUNDERSTORMS...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TUESDAY
AFTERNOON AND TUESDAY NIGHT...WITH SMALL HAIL OR GRAUPEL
POSSIBLE. WATERSPOUTS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE OVER THE COASTAL
WATERS.
- WINDS...STRONG WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS...DESERTS AND COASTAL
WATERS TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
- IMPACTS...ANY COMBINATION RAIN...SNOW...STRONG WINDS AND LOW
