ENDEAVOUR Season 5 On MASTERPIECE

For the first time in the history of the series, there will be six full-length episodes.

Shaun Evans returns for a fifth season of the popular series as the young Endeavour Morse, before his signature red Jaguar but with his deductive powers already running in high gear. Roger Allam also returns as Endeavour’s mentor, DI Fred Thursday, for more crime-solving in 1960s Oxford.

EPISODE GUIDE:

Episode 1: “Muse” airs Sunday, June 24 at 9 p.m. - Past and present collide in Oxford as the auction of a priceless Faberge Egg gets underway at Lonsdale College, inciting a burglary attempt. Then, Morse and Thursday search for a serial killer. Morse struggles to mentor a young detective constable.

Episode 2: “Cartouche” airs Sunday, July 1 at 9 p.m. - Hollywood glamour comes to Oxford as a horror movie begins filming in the city. The film's star believes an Egyptian curse is to blame for two poisonings. Morse and Thursday uncover long-kept secrets and a plot to expose the truth of a hero's past.

Episode 3: “Passenger” airs Sunday, July 8 at 9 p.m. - Investigating a disappearance, Endeavour fears it’s linked to the unsolved murder of a teenager years earlier. The investigation takes a surprising turn when a woman's body is discovered and Endeavour notices anomalies at the crime scene.

Episode 4: “Colours” airs Sunday, July 15 at 9 p.m. - A photoshoot on an army base turns sinister when a model is found dead. As Endeavour and Strange take the lead on the investigation, their differing opinions push their friendship to breaking point. Then another body is found on the base.

Episode 5: “Quartet” airs Sunday, July 22 at 9 p.m. - The investigation of an assassination attempt is quickly brought to an unexpected end, but Morse continues to probe. He's soon embroiled in the dark dealings of espionage, big business and a long-held secret at the heart of the Oxford community.

Episode 6: “Requiem” airs Sunday, July 29 at 9 p.m. - After a teacher mysteriously disappears, Endeavour goes undercover to investigate the dark world of a public school. With the unexpected discovery of a body, he questions whom to trust. Meanwhile, Thursday's life is upended by his brother’s return.
