Forty-nine California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) natural areas and ecological reserves are closed to the public through Monday, Sept. 14 due to fire conditions, the agency said Saturday. The closed properties lie within or adjacent to U.S. Forest Service (USFS) boundaries.
San Diego natural areas impacted by CDFW’s closures are Plaisted Creek Ecological Reserve, Sycuan Peak Ecological Reserve, Boden Canyon Ecological Reserve, and Boulder Creek Ecological Reserve.
The announcement follows USFS’ temporary closure of all California national forests Sept. 9. This included Cleveland National Forest in San Diego County.
