Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul herself, returns to public television in an all new "My Music" festival of original artist Soul Hits of the 1960s plus some special '70s love ballads. An abundance of long lost archival material has been recovered from England, Germany and France, along with a treasure trove of long buried live performance footage from local television stations throughout the U.S.

The latest installment in the "My Music" series represents the culmination of many years of research and planning. Among the historical performances are a wealth of selections from Dick Clark Productions’ landmark series “American Bandstand” and “Where the Action Is.” These full-length songs haven’t been seen since their sole network broadcasts more than four decades ago.

“Being able to see the original artists perform their original hits in their prime as they were first experienced by kids back then is nothing less than mind-boggling. What a thrill it is to return to the roots and soul of American popular music in the 60s — and to have this program presented by the royalty of Aretha Franklin is such a tremendous honor.” - executive producer TJ Lubinsky
