Propelled by a national Emmy nomination and multiple Telly Awards in 2010, the fifth season of TRAVELSCOPE takes the series to new heights with trips to exotic destinations in Rwanda, Guatemala and Istanbul, and also to much-beloved spots in Switzerland, Ireland and Greece.
Host Joseph Rosendo's open-hearted and welcoming personality invites viewers to join him on his cultural discoveries around the world. In its fifth season, TRAVELSCOPE stays true to its mission of illustrating the enduring truth in Mark Twain’s quote, "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness."

"Port Aransas, Texas - Fun On The Texas Coast" - Joseph breaks away from heat for a cooling and relaxing stay among the gentle gulf breezes of the South Texas Coast. In every season the pleasures are easy in this laid back Southern town where often the best thing to do is nothing.
The active visitor has plenty to keep them busy and Joseph tries his hand at swimming, fishing, kayaking, crawfish shucking and dancing a two step or three. In keeping with his joy of lifelong learning, he hops aboard a University of Texas research vessel for a cruise of the bay and a look it's denizens of the deep.
