Baseball phenom Bryce Harper - he of "That's a clown question, bro" fame - has another pending question on his plate. A Camp Pendleton Marine named Lance Cpl. Stephanie Butler has asked Harper to be her date to her Marine Corps Ball.
Butler posed the question to Harper on his Facebook page, writing:
Although I grew up in the Northern Virginia DC area, I am currently an active duty Marine stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA. Even from across the country enjoyed watching the Nats play, I even got to see you guys when you played the Dodgers. You've been a breath of fresh air to the Nationals this season. Congratulations on your recent Divisional Championship! Bryce Harper, on November 9th will you go with me to the Marine Corps ball??
No reply from Harper as of yet.
If he accepts, he'll be following the leads of celebrities like Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, both of whom attended Marine Corps Balls last year after being asked via YouTube by Cpl. Kelsey De Santis and Sgt. Scott Moore, respectively.
